We all love teleporters. Engineers love to build ’em; the rest of the team loves to use ’em.
Just sometimes there’s a minor detail which could use some improvement: The direction of the Exit ...
I’m sure that has happened to all of us before. You jump into a teleporter, dematerialize, materialize on the other end and - find yourself in front of a wall.
You have to turn around, and if it was the first time you have used that particular TP you have to get your bearing before proceeding (hopefully running into the right direction when playing one of those symmetrical maps ).
And why? Because the engy failed to align the teleporter exit properly when he built it.
There are still engies around which do not know that you can rotate the exit. And it’s easy. Look here:
There’s an arrow on the exit’s blueprint which shows in which direction a player will exit the TP. You can rotate the exit the same way you do a sentry, by the second weapon function (default right mouse). It rotates counterclockwise 90° with each click. No magic involved.
So, hardhat, no more excuses. Next time you will offer some perspective to your teammates and won’t let them be greeted by the sight of a wall at the end of their trip.
Much obliged, pardner!
