Welcome back to Radio TF2.
The older among our listeners will remember the disco wave back in the late 70s, probably with as much embaressment as secret nostalgia. And while there were few disco songs about TF2 some of those are amongst the most famous ever.
And next in our program is one of those everlasting gems from the era of mirrorballs and bell bottoms: Gloria Gaynor and “I Will Survive”.
First I was afraid
I was petrified
Looking all around me
Seeing who was on my side
But the game’s about to start
No more time to switch the team
And so I called
A medic to team up with me
And out we went
Into the flames
There was a sentry to our left
Spitting bullets with my name
And to the right a soldier launched
To attack me from the sky
And straight ahead I saw a sniper

So I set out to attack

But then we’d pushed them back
And we quickly capped the first point with our next attack
But after that we hit a wall when we tried the second point
We pushed and failed
My teammates faltered and they wailed
But there was I
All glowing blue
I brought havoc and destruction to the lot of you
Had my medic shielding me and so we turned the table round
You threw everything at me
But you couldn’t bring me down.Oh no, not I
I will survive
As long as I keep playing smart
I know I will stay alive
And with this medic by my side
I know it will be alright
And I’ll survive
